Heart Choice is one of the best books in the Celta series, and that's quite a compliment, because all of the books in the Celta series are great. Robin Owens has created a magical and very plausible world in which to set her adventurous and often humorous stories. Her characters are complex, strong and appealing. Ms. Owens' excellent writing quickly pulls the reader into the story until you feel as if you are on the planet Celta, where psychic talents are always evolving, and the future is unknown. Heart Choice tells the story of Straif and Mitchella. Both are strong, intelligent characters with issues to work through. Full of action, suspense, humor, and romance, Heart Choice is a riveting book. While this book could be read and enjoyed by itself, it would be better to try and read the books about Celta in order as the characters and the events do overlap. Animal lovers will enjoy this series as psychic animals (especially cats with attitude) provide humor and loving support throughout the stories. I highly recommend this book and the entire Celta series.

I love her books. They are gentle romance with some swashbuckling. There is never any graphic sex or violence. Ill buy every one of them I can get my mitts on!
Owens' Celta series is fun reading while presenting a colony world where humans struggle to survive. This is a romance series but with a good dose of how humans can change on other worlds. Great commuter reading.
I enjoyed the book immensely. I have now read all opf the series and would like to see how some of these relationships work ok. I was unable to stop reading unless I fell asleep or reached the end of the story. I like the way all of the main characters cross over into the other books in the series. All of the series seems to be well put together and I will be looking forward to more books from the Heart series.
Romance, mystery, romance, danger, magic, and many other facets make up this incredible series. While they go in a timeline, each book has its own story and can be read alone.
I have become a lover of the Celta series! It sometimes feels like your cat or dog is speaking. Now I can believe they are! I have craved the next story as a finish each book.
Ever wonder what life would be like on a different planet?
Robin Owens give a very fin and exciting glimpse of what this would be like. She brings our most beloved animals with us. And a few that just make ya laugh.
I do suggest that you start at the beginning of the series, just to help with the explanation of her (different) unique items/object and things that she talks of.
HeartMate, Heart Thief, Heart Duel, Heart Choice,Heart Quest, Heart Dance, Heart Fate, Heart Change, Heart Journey, Heart Search, Heart Secret and Heart Fortune.
Hearts & Swords is a collection of stories, sprinkled throughout that timeline, but should be read at least after Heart Fate, I think.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed it more than the 3rd one in the series but found it too easy to put down. It wasn't hard to guess who the badest guy would be. Was dumbfounded when interest in searching out that guy wasn't a focus by the hero who seemed constantly befuddled. I liked many aspects of this world expansion & the heroine. But I was amazed at the premise - seemed odd given their society. [Practically royalty FirstFamily Lord roams the wilds for at least a decade, finally comes back to settle in & a claimant for the title pops up & is able to freeze his assets & take other measures against him? Huh? Seems like they're setting a dangerous precedent.]
